The time has come to start thinking about Christmas shopping, get ahead of the game and avoid the mad rush towards the end of December. I will make this a two-part blog; otherwise, it will be too long, and hopefully, we might have some new items to tell you about by the time the next blog is due to go out!

Over the last six months, we have started incorporating homewares into our showroom and onto our website by launching 'Tallboy Home', which provides products that are picked to complement the larger antique furniture and their settings.

We like to support local talents and bespoke companies from mainly the UK. However, we also stock international products if we believe the companies have the same ethics and sustainable products.

Over the next couple of weeks, we will be dropping our 'Winter Edit', in which we will release our new homewares onto the website for purchasing. Until then, we will keep showing the items on our social media, so drop us a message if you see something you like until then, as we can get it shipped out.

Let's start with fragrances…

We stock a wide range of Evoqua candles with gorgeous scents, hand made using natural ingredients and avoiding harsh chemicals such as Paraffins. Our lovely Christmas scents include:

• Frankincense
• Amber
• Cedarwood
• Orange
• Cinnamon
• Clove

These scents will fill any room with a beautiful aroma.

If Citrus smells are more your thing, try Eucalyptus, Lemon or Mint as these fragrances are very tranquil, like a luxurious spa room.

More recently, we have added a selection of Reed Diffusers to our showroom.

We stock two collections; Grow and Elemental. Grow is inspired by the garden with diffuser scents including Rhubarb & Ginger and Tomato & Berry. The coast inspires an elemental aura with aromas called Rock, Beach and Ocean, which are so fresh.

Throws and Blankets are what I would consider a must-have for a home at the moment. Who doesn't want to get cosied up under a throw, watching a film and drinking a hot chocolate? We have a great range of throws with many colours to choose from made from organic cotton and recycled wool. In addition, these throws are sustainably sourced.

Speaking of hot chocolate... I think a great gift to receive is a mug. These make great stocking fillers, and a majority of people drink hot beverages. I think the nicer the cup, the better the drink tastes!

The most popular homeware in our showroom for sales is the selection of placemats and coasters that we stock. First, we have a colourful range of Fairtrade Jute Placemats and Coasters, which are popular to add a pop of colour to accent a kitchen/dining room. We now stock a range of cork coasters and placemats which are heatproof and eco-friendly.
