Locally this past weekend, we have had the towns Christmas market, which was bustling with festivities and people in the Christmas spirit buying Christmas decorations and gifts for friends and families.

It was nice to see which items were popular purchases for gifts, and part 2 of this Christmas gift guiding will be inspired by sales from this weekend.

Studio Pottery Vases

The showroom is filled with a variety of studio pottery vases at the moment. These pottery pieces make for great gifts as they make beautiful decorative pieces. For example, pottery vases can serve as a statement piece for a console table, a centrepiece for a dining table or a fantastic piece of window homeware.

Studio pottery vases have come back into style over the past year when many mainstream stores took on mid-century abstract designs, and the trend took off. We have an extensive range available on our website. TallBoy Interiors allows you to have a truly unique piece - not just the same pottery vases as everyone else in your town!

Dried Flowers

On a similar note, we now stock an extensive range of natural dried flowers and grasses, which look beautiful displayed in the studio pottery vases. Dried flower bouquets are great for someone who isn't very good at keeping fresh flowers alive very long. We have bouquets in various colours and will be changing them seasonally, adding yellows and brighter colours as we enter the springtime. Still, for now, the reds and burnt oranges are stealing the show.

Wooden Christmas Tree Kits

Over the weekend, for home decorations, our handcrafted wooden Christmas tree kits have been very popular. They are beautiful yet minimalist in design. Building the tree and seeing it come together before displaying it within your home makes for a great family activity.

I have had the pleasure of building one for the showroom. Some customers worry something like this might be too fiddly or complicated to make. However, after 5 minutes of creating, I had a beautiful Christmas decoration in front of me. I'm confident you will too!

Carafes

Picture this: you're sitting down to enjoy a Christmas meal or bring in the new year. The host brings out the bottle of red wine aired to room temperature in one of our carafes. The wine is smoothly poured into one of our smoked wine glasses, and cheers are had over the meal. Sounds perfect to me! We have a couple of different carafes in stock at the moment. Check them out today.

1950s Green Tea Set

A piece that we have in stock at the moment which I think would make a lovely present is the 1950s Green Tea set with Japanese influence. The beautiful sage green tea set would make an excellent gift for your tea enthusiast. The cups and curved coasters design is simple but stands out in any home. The stand for the teapot is designed to insert a tea light to keep the tea hot whilst enjoying and conversing with friends and family.

With only two weeks until the big day the shops are busier, especially in the city centre. Independent businesses will appreciate your support again this year. Many have been forced to close for long stretches throughout the year due to COVID-19. The browse around a town is undoubtedly more pleasant than the hustle and bustle of the crowns in the city centres and shopping centres. Most local businesses will also be delighted to post items to you if you live further away and unable to get to the shop.

All our items are available to purchase on the website, via Instagram and in the showroom. We all at TallBoy Interiors hope you have an enjoyable Christmas with your families and friends. Stay safe, and wishing you a happy new year!
