19th century English oak iron banded Silver trunk
This is a great quality 19th century oak silver trunk. The piece is covered in iron banding and lock which still closes and can be opened without the need of a key. This trunk as its name suggests would have been used by wealthy people to move their fine pieces of silver from place to place. These usually would have the brass plaque engraved with the owners name but in this case it hasn't. The interior has two lift out sections all retaining what looks like the original baize and marbled paper. Overall condition is very good and this would make an ideal coffee table or just a good storage box.
