This is a striking 19th century French chest of drawers. The wood is most likely chestnut and the colour and pattern is superb. It catches your eye from every angle. The gilt bronze details are a sure sign of quality and they are all present. The key is original but the locks on the lower 2 drawers do not work but the top two do. There are a few minor marks to the top but nothing serious. There is also evidence of historic wood worm in the front legs and lower rail. But this has been totally treated and has caused no structural issues. The drawers are strong meaning they can be used for a number of uses. It is also a great size.
