Carved 19th century Dutch pan trivet- No 5
I have been fortunate enough to get a lovely collection of these beautifully made 19th century Dutch pan trivets.
Originally these would have been placed onto a table and a hot pan put on top to serve the food. A totally functional piece but this didn't stop the makers carving beautiful patterns into them.
Each one different but all with great patina. All have also been mounted on a steel base making them ideal decorative items.
They look great individually or as a set.
