About this piece
This is a fabulous 17th Century Colonial school oil on canvas painting of the Immaculate Virgin. The quality is very high as is the originality. The colours are subtle and hugely attractive. The fine details throughout the painting are beautiful. Large size as well. For me this painting is full of interest points with the finely painted main figures but also the ship and other background details and the most symbolic element being the palm tree.
