The Piece

About this piece

This is a very rare and high quality survivor. A near original 18th century leather and Elm wingback armchair. The patina on this piece is to die for. The leather is very heavy and thick hide, there are just a few small areas of repair closest to where the arm joins the back but other than that I believe the leather is pretty much original. The chair is dated on the back 1747. The frame as a wonderful smoothness to it from years of use. A chair full of character and charm as well as being perfectly useable. The frame is also totally solid.
