This is a simply beautiful and rare piece of French folk art. It is an 18th century Marriage cupboard made from solid walnut. The whole cupboard is in totally original condition which is rare to see. The only additions have been to the interior which is now shelved with later pine shelves. Making it very practical as well.
What denotes this a marriage cupboard is the symbols on the carved front including the love hearts on the doors. Its a stunning piece and would work well in a huge number of interiors.
