About this piece
This is a very nice example of an 18th century shield back side chair. Great quality with painted lion on the back rest. Still in very vibrant condition. The chair itself has metal braces on each legs which are a period repair and now mean the chair has no movement. The back rest has a carved hand hold which is a nice detail. Good size making it an ideal desk chair or occasional seat.
