The Piece

About this piece

This is an extremely rare, completely original dining table made from solid chestnut. It dates to the late 17th early 18th century and is totally original. The top is over 2 inches thick and has an element of waneyness to it which only adds to the exceptional design and presence this has. It is complete with drawer which has a metal pull handle. There are no major issues with the table and the top is full of patina and original wear. The base having 5 legs is unusual and allows this to work as a dining table or large console table.
