19th Century Aesthetic movement Satin wood and mahogany desk

This is a beautifully made 19th century Aesthetic movement desk. The desk is made from mahogany and a form of satin wood that gives the drawer fronts a fabulous sheen. The contrast between the two woods give this desk an unusual style that I adore. The drawers all run smoothly and close flush. The left side is all individual drawers and the right has a double depth drawer at the bottom. Overall condition is good with attractive patina throughout. The top has minor fading to the front edge and the bottom drawers on both sides have replaced rings. Another detail I like is within the knee hole there is a pedestal for your feet that is actually a secret compartment.
