About this piece

This a hugely decorative as well as collectible 19th century Fairground carousel horse by renowned makers Limonaire Freres. The Limonaire brothers were based in Paris and were well known the world over for their quality fairground animals. This is a wonderful example with a lot of original paint still evident. There is aged losses and marks but absolutely nothing that takes away from the piece. It is also complete with the original brass makers plaque. The whole horse os carved wood and retains its original glass eyes as well.
