The Piece
About this piece
This is a very unusual 19th century cherry wood and rush seated hall bench. It is incredibly good quality with clear craftsmanship in the construction of the piece. The shaped back rests is a design I have never seen before. Outlining use as a four seater bench. The cabriole legs are finely done and the rush seat pads are completely in tact. There are also bronze roundels under each arm which a beautiful touch.
