The Piece

About this piece

This is a truly stunning and high quality 19th century cabinet in the George 1st style. Made from walnut with gorgeous oyster veneer door fronts. This technique shows how much attention to detail was taking when making this piece. The double arched top is also a great design that doesn't come up very often. The interior of both halves is also painted a dark green which is totally original and compliments the walnut perfectly. Another detail that is nice about this cabinet is the proportions are very neat meaning it will fit into most rooms. The depth gives plenty of room to store books and clothes etc but doesn't dominate the space.

The whole design is elegant with the shaped feet, the ornate brass hinges, the oyster veneer, the double arch, the oak line drawers and the proportions. It is a truly fabulous piece.
