About this piece
This is a extremely well painted, 19th century Italian oil on canvas painting of birds. The main feature is a Pheasant in the tree set amongst a traditional landscape. There are further birds in the foreground all executed well. The colours are rich and the condition overall is very good with only a few light marks to the paint. The piece is signed and dated on the back. 1890 and came from Milan.
