This is a fabulous quality painting depicting a lady with a basket full of eggs. She looks to be wearing country clothing most likely French or Spanish in origin. The image is a subtle look at a very specific way of life but it conveys so much in it. It really does make you think. The colour pallet is perfect for the feel of the piece, the size makes it hugely decorative and to me it is a happy feeling painting. The texture to the paint is stunning and it is signed top left and on the reverse.
