The Piece

About this piece

This is a very nice quality solid oak coffer from the Charles II period (1630-1685). It is in great overall condition with carved details to the front. The lis has strong iron hinges that are still in place. The interior is also painted and colour well be original. It is certainly an attractive detail. Overall the piece has no major faults and for a piece of its age is doing very well. Great storage box.
