Large modern abstract painting on board by Sylvia Ortega - 006

On our last buying trip to France we met Sylvia by chance and got talking about her interest in antiques and the fact she was an artist. We looked at her work and I fell in love with it immediately. She works with acrylic paint mixed with gesso and paints onto board giving her artwork a wonderful thickness and texture.

This example is a striking abstract modern piece with a bold colour palette that feels very fun. Plenty of texture as well.
