XL Abstract painting acrylic on canvas by Sylvia Ortega - 008

The Piece

About this piece

On our last buying trip to France we met Sylvia by chance and got talking about her interest in antiques and the fact she was an artist. We looked at her work and I fell in love with it immediately. She works with acrylic paint mixed with gesso and paints onto board giving her artwork a wonderful thickness and texture.

This example is a striking abstract modern piece suitable for a huge amount of interiors. Bold geometric design in a monochrome pallet. Heavy texture and offers a real presence in a room.

We love art that offers enough to build a room around and this piece along with most other pieces from Sylvia do that wonderfully well. This is the largest piece she has ever created and the bold monochrome pallet will work very well in a huge variety of spaces.
