Large 14th century Persian pottery funerary vase
This a absolutely stunning 14th century (by repute) Persian funerary jar. Decorated with tree of life motifs, Griffins and images of paradise. It is in attractive worn condition but no cracks or major damage. The decoration is all hand done and with very fine details in parts. It isn't my usual thing but I loved it the moment I saw it. Very hard to date as there looks to be later retouched decoration but certainly a very old piece of pottery. Great size as well.
