The Piece

About this piece

We have been fortunate to get hold of some truly stunning 19th century Italian frames that we have added high quality 6mm mirror plate too.

These mirrors make incredible features on any wall in a great number of interiors. The design is arguably quite contemporary which is why I love this particular style of frame.

The moulding is incredibly fine and when I spoke to my restorer about these he informed me just how hard it is to make this moulding so it really is a testament to the crafts people of the time that created these.

This example is an early 19th century handsome addition to any wall. Deep original two tone ebonised frame in very clean original condition. The design is particularly unusual which makes it a feature in any space.

93cm by 75cm

Can be hung either portrait or landscape.

Why we chose this piece +

We chose this mirror as its a design that we haven't seen to often. 18th century style that continued through into the early 19th century which is when this example was made. The two tone element to the frame is a great detail as offers a contrast that softens the overall presence of the mirror.
